With just three months remaining to the elections, the NSW Liberal Party has endorsed a full ticket for Cessnock.
Endorsed as the party’s mayoral candidate is sitting councillor and Liberal Deputy Mayor, Cordelia Burcham.
With 12 Liberal ward councillor candidates for the Cessnock Local Government Area, Cr. Burcham said, “We are excited to have 12 outstanding people to contest all wards.”
They include sitting Liberal Councillor Dale Troy in Ward B, local businesswoman Suellen Wrightson in Ward C and Kurri District Business Chamber President, Rod Doherty in Ward D and Liberal Deputy Mayor Cr. Cordelia Burcham will contest Ward A.
They are supported by Jake Brogan (A), Pat Groizard (A), Bryce Gibson (B), Todd Troy (B), Jessie-Lee Orrock (C), Sharon Troy (C), Carol Doherty (D), and Maureen King (D).
“We want to see progress for our communities through a positive attitude and outlook whereby council helps and assists people.
“We see our roles as advocates for a community that wants progress, to facilitate a strong local economy and growth for Cessnock Local Government Area,”” said Cr. Burcham.
“As Cessnock Local Government Area is one of the fastest growing in the State, we look forward to bringing and energetic team to realise the Cessnock LGA’s full potential,” said Cr. Burcham.
