Tamworth batted first in Under 14’s and were bowled out for 181 from 49 overs. Great performances with the ball for Cessnock came from Daniel Bailey (4/36) , Bailey Bromage (2/23), Jackson Redmond (2/30) and also good spells by Sam Apthorpe (10 overs, 0/17) and Matt Thomson (nine overs, 0/15).

In reply Cessnock was all out in 50 overs for 151. Opener Bryce Morley (55) batted for 42 overs set the platform for the run chase while Sam Apthorpe (38) and Jack Morris (21) batted extremely well.

Overall it was a great performance by Cessnock who never stopped trying in the field and with the bat against a very good Tamworth side in very hot conditions. Coach Phil Apthorpe was very pleased with the effort of all players.

In Under 12’s Tamworth batted first and was in trouble at five for 38 until J. Richards (36 retired) and S. Yabsley (60 not out) took the score to 9 for 192.

The Cessnock bowlers tried hard with openers Brodie Jones (2/9 off 8) and Bailey Peel (2/18 off 8) and James Harmen (2/20 off 8) doing a good job.

Cessnock could only manage 77 with best scorers Mitchell Thompson 12, Brodie Jones 12, Riley Davis 10, Luke Morris 8 and J. Batt 6. This was a very good effort by Cessnock as Tamworth is a very good side with much more experience. Cessnock's coach Troy Culley was very pleased with the effort put in by all the boys.
