Michael Hugo collected a hat trick of awards at Cessnock Hornets senior presentation night at Cessnock City Bowling Club on Saturday night.
Hugo won The Advertiser Player of the Year award, the Flanagan’s Menswear Players’ Player and Coaches Player of the Year award.
Other major awards saw club legend John Rushford being named Club Person Of The Year and Alexander King receiving the prestigious Jack Lennard Memorial Rookie Of The Year which was presented by Mrs. June Lennard.
A special mention was also made to the All Age Women who excelled in making the minor semi final. Awarded winners were:
First Grade: Players’ Player Of The Year, Jeremie Morton; Flanagan’s Menswear Players’ Player Mug Michael Hugo; Coaches Player Of The Year Michael Hugo and Most Improved Nathan Stapleford.
Reserve Grade: Players’ Player Of The Year Brian Lindsay; Flanagan’s Menswear Players’ Player Mug Ben Chapman; Coaches Player Of The Year Brian Lindsay and Most Improved Alexander King.
Under 19’s: Players’ Player Of The Year Robbie Sidebottom; Flanagan’s Menswear Players’ Player Mug Ben Fairlie; Coaches Player Of The Year Robbie Sidebottom and Most Improved Adam Malam.
All Age Women: Player Of The Year Nicole Newman; Players’ Player Of The Year Jade Hutchinson; Flanagan’s Menswear Players’ Player Mug Jade Hutchinson; Coaches Award/Most Improved Sarah Marks.
