Special Olympics Hunter Valley has started a Soccer program for children with special needs.
Training is held at Hornets ground on Aberdare Road on Friday afternoons from 4pm.
Numbers have been very encouraging with 16 people at training over the past two weeks.
David Workman from the Hornets is coaching the teams and Special Olympics would like to thank David for his most valued help in setting up the program.
Soccer is for all children and adults with special needs. Teams are determined by their ability. A gala day will be held in Cessnock on Sunday, October 10 with teams traveling from other parts of NSW for a day of competition.
People wanting to make inquiries about the Soccer can contact David on 0488 159 629 or Ellena Morris on 041 862 5482.
