COUNTRY CLUB WOMEN

Finals tomorrow between U. Reckenberg’s team and R. Gillespie’s team, also social bowls at 10am. Draw for pairs tomorrow, first round on September 4. Pennant sheet up on board for names. Normally we do not congratulate anyone in social games, but congratulations must go to Mitchell Foster. This was his first ever game and he had an excellent game. HUNTER DISTRICT WOMEN

The women’s Australian Indoor 1’s championship was played at Tweed Heads on August 18 to 21, 2008. Congratulations to all the 32 bowlers from across Australia who participated this annual Australia wide knockout competition. Seven bowlers represented NSWWBA.

Winner: K. Murphy (NSW) and Runner Up: T. Hastings (WA); Semi-Finalists: L. Armitage (Qld) and K. Wright (NSW); Quarter Finalists: (3 NSW): C.Glen, A. Jeffery & E. West; S. Aumann(NT). The Champion of Club Champions 2008 will be played at Oak Flats, NSW from 6th to 10th of October 2008.

CESSNOCK CITY WOMEN

GRETA WOMEN

Greta Women’s Bowling Club is celebrating the unfurling of their pennant flag on Friday, September 12. This day is by invitation only. Congratulations to the ladies for taking out the zone at Scone. Tamworth was the venue for the State finals and the Greta ladies were unlucky to only concede 16 shots overall and the State pennant eventually went to a Sydney team.
