CESSNOCK CITY

Wednesday’s winners were J. Austen, C. Burnet. The jackpot did not go off and is over $500 this week. Friday’s winners were T. Penfold, J. Baker from G. Foster, T. Bridge. Program: Wednesday, OTB at 2pm. Friday, OTB at 9.30am. Saturday, mixed mufti at 1pm. Saturday, November 28 will be a mixed OTB with hams for first and second, and we only have one green so get your name in early.

CESSNOCK CITY WOMEN

The invitation fours game was played last week and congratulations to the winners B. Jeffery, A. Wilkins, J. Ware, C. Evans from Kurri, runners-up were J. Lewis, G. Hope, M. Crump, M. Ling from Cessnock. Country Club, consolation, N. Loosemore, E. Keith, S. Sneesby, D. Huth from East Cessnock. The Queen of the Green game will be played today, names by 9am for 9.30am start. Christmas dinner and concert will be held on Monday night December 7. A list is on the board for members and their guests. Concert practice will take place after bowls today. Congratulations to F. Maureen Ling was the winner of the consistency singles played on November 5. Meeting held on Thursday, green down, bowls not played. J. Lewis, G. Hope, M. Crump, M. Ling were runners-up in Cessnock City invitation fours. Paxton Club has also invited bowlers from Country Club to play on their greens when they come available. Mufti winners November 10 were, J. Victor, R. Small, D. Ling, runners-up, R. Parkinson, M. Laidlaw, K. Victor.

CESSNOCK DISTRICT RETIREDS

Winners at East Cessnock on November 11 were, E. Wheeler, M. Garbutt, R. Stevenson, runners-up, J. Johnson, K. Donnan, C. Herbert. Next Wednesday, November 25, the group plays at Abermain. New members welcome.

ABERMAIN

PAXTON

Sunday, November 22 will be the last game of bowls this year as the green is going down for servicing on Monday, November 23. The game will be mixed off the board, 1.30pm start in mufti dress.

Saturday, November 28 will be the presentation and Christmas party. The cost is $20 per head for adults, $10 for junior bowlers and children. Put names on sheet A.S.A.P for catering purposes. Money to be paid when names go up (no refunds). Closing date Wednesday, November 25. The meal will be served at 6.30pm with entertainment by Rich and Famous.

KURRI WOMEN

Monday’s mixed mufti winners were H. M. Sheedy, C. Gemmell, runners-up, S. Burg, I. Johns. Thursday’s ladies day winners were E. Beattie, C. Weston, G. Sumner, runners-up, V. Bailey, N. Russell, S. HUNTER DISTRICT WOMEN

NSWWBA Inc. have received the maximum amount of entries of 280 teams, (1120 players) for the 2010 NSWWBA Inc. State Carnival, commencing on 31st May 2010 – 4th June 2010.

The waiting List has now reached its capacity, so any State Carnival entries received into head office will be returned to the team Skip.

To the above 280 teams, if there are any changes of your team members, please inform Head Office as soon as possible.

Hunter River District Gala will be held at Beresfield BC on Thursday, 19th November at 9:30am. Everyone is welcome.

THE OAKS

Players please note: The greens are down for repairs. Bellbird bowling Club has once again made their green available to club members. Please support their club. It will also give our players an opportunity to practice on a different type of surface for the pennants starting early next year.

The Christmas party and presentation night will be held on Saturday, December 12. If attending please put your name on the list at the club.
