Kurri Bulldogs had a strong start to the 2010 season with big numbers at the first few weeks of training and all were looking refreshed after new coach Todd Polglase gave the boys three months off to freshen up.
This year is the club's 100th year and there are big expectations from within the kennel.
“We have been able to secure most players from last year and been able to sign some quality players with a few more on the horizon while also seeing the return of some quality juniors,” said a club official.
“To complement the on field entertainment we have some big plans off the field with our Old Boys club being successful in securing a grant from the State government which will allow them to erect a building where we can entertain all members of the Old Boys club and our sponsors.
“We also have a 100 year dinner planned where we will name our team of the century. The first function is our season launch which will be held on Friday, March 26. This year there will be plenty of 100 year commerative and current supporters gear available such as jumpers, children's jumpers, shirts and hats etc.
“If anyone would like to get involved with the club we are seeking strappers, trainers, committee members and people to help out with fundraising and on game day.
“If there are any businesses that would like to be involved with our very proud club in its 100th year we would love to have your support,” he said
