A 35-year-old man, believed to be known to her, is under police guard in a Sydney hospital and has been charged with aggravated sexual assault and aggravated kidnapping.
Police allege the man held the 30-year-old woman captive in her home in Dandenong, Victoria, on Saturday and Sunday and sexually assaulted her.
In the early hours of yesterday morning, the man allegedly bound and gagged the woman, forced her into the boot of her car and drove to Young, in southern NSW.
Police said the man drove her to an orchard about 5am and sexually assaulted her, before he forced her back into the boot and drove to a motel in Young.
The man allegedly tied her up in the motel room, sexually assaulted her again and forced her into the cupboard, bound and gagged, before he drove off in her car, police said.
The woman escaped about 6pm yesterday and went to motel staff.
Police said the man was involved in a car crash about 5.50pm yesterday and was taken to Westmead Hospital, where he is under guard.
The matter will be mentioned in Parramatta Local Court today.
