The site aims to enhance its strong community partnership by providing links to each of its individual schools, and links to parent support documents as well as information about the local school community.
“The development of this website reflects the importance we, as public school educators, place on our partnerships with parents and the community,” CCGPS Community Engagement Team leader Megan Avery said.
“We hope that providing access to our schools through this website, will serve to engage parents in their children‘s education and strengthen our relationships across the community, ensuring that we continue to deliver on our commitment to quality education and strong pathways for lifelong learning.”
Parents are impressed with the site’s functionality.
“I can very easily find out things I need to know about my children‘s education, whether I am looking for support with homework or I am seeking information regarding NAPLAN, or even if I just need to know the details of an upcoming excursion, I can use the CCGPS website to access links for this information,” Paxton Public School parent Catherine Dixon said.
“I have two children attending Paxton Public School, one of whom will be transitioning to year 7 at Mount View High School next year.
“I really want to be involved in my sons’ education and the links that the CCGPS website provides, will enable me to stay in touch with what’s happening in each of their schools and across their learning community.
“It’s great to have somewhere to go when you want to support your children and actively participate in their learning journey.”
