Mayoral Academic Challenge sponsor Michael Hope, Branxton Public School team members Amy Szlicht, Morgan Hawkins and Mitch Robinson, and Mayor of Cessnock, Cr. Bob Pynsent. The Branxton team won $3000 as primary winners and a further $250 when they defeated Cessnock High in the Primary vs Year 7 challenge.
