Due to extreme weather conditions last Wednesday, play was abandoned at Kurri. Our next game will be at East Cessnock Bowling Club on Wednesday, November 6. New members are most welcome. If you are sitting at home doing nothing and would like to learn the social game of lawn bowls, then join us at around 12.30pm for good fellowship and a chin wag.

Social bowls on Thursday, names to be in by 9.30am for 10am start. The final of the consistency singles will be played tomorrow, F. Orchard v M. McGuiness, the marker will be E. Johns. Last week’s social bowls winners were M. Wicken and L. Hale; E. Johns won the nearest to the ditch. Our meeting will be held on November 7 after bowls. Our invitation triples game will be held next Monday, November 4, morning tea at 9.30am, play will commence at 10am. We are having a tombala, trading table, raffles and a 100 club. Entries are on the board for the district pairs, entries will close on December 6 and play will commence on February 24. Entries are on the board for the Queen of the Green game to be played on November 14. Congratulations to Tom Wicken, L. Foster and M. McGuiness who came second in the Denman invitation triples and congratulations to M. Hudson, L. Field and L. Andrews for coming third place in this game.
