The club will host three rounds of the prestigious ten round series commencing with the opening round this Saturday.
The Club will then host the final two rounds of the series as innovative back-to-back events on October 4 and 5.
“Kurri played a significant role last year,” series director Tim Heffernan said.
“We have taken a few bold steps to expand this year including three states and seven different venues as well as finishing up with a massive double header and it’s great to have the support of the Kurri Club.”
With Kurri Speedway ‘bookending’ the series, the other venues include North Brisbane and Ipswich in Queensland, Underra in Victoria and Nepean, Albury and Tamworth in NSW.
Cessnock speedway riders Alan and Josh McDonald and Kurri speedway rider Josh Fletcher are expected to make their presence felt in the series.
Organisers have also added a junior 250cc solo division to this year’s series.
In an interesting twist, a senior champion, a junior champion and a ‘grand’ champion will be crowned at the end of the series.
The ultimate ‘grand’ champion will be the highest overall point scorer across both divisions, meaning that a junior rider might be the ultimate ‘grand’ champion.
Racing in the opening round of the series on Saturday at Kurri Speedway commences at 12.30pm
