Peterkin will become the ninth player in the Bulldogs 100-plus-year history to achieve the feat.
He will join an illustrious group including coach and players of the Team of the Century and triple grand final-winning players: Rees Duncan Snr, Charlie Perry, Neville Boyes, Jeff Roach, Peter Brady, current coach Phil Williams, Paul Romaniuk and Danny Linnane.
Peterkin started his career in first grade in 1999 at 19 after being convinced to swap codes from being a soccer goalie at 16. Saturday will be his 258th grade game for the Kurri club.
Affectionately known as “Bumper”, he has been to the forefront of the Bulldogs’ style over the last 15 years with uncompromising runs and quick play-the-balls.
Club secretary Jeff Polglase said Peterkin has become well-respected member and was named clubman of the year a couple of seasons ago.
“His recent fundraising efforts, along with wife Angie, for the fallen miners at Austar has shown a true representation of his character and unselfishness,” Polglase said.
Peterkin said the build-up to the 2013 grand final was his most memorable moment in his career, while Reegan Tanner and Paul Skovgaard were the best players he has played with and against.
Bulldog fans are encouraged to be at the ground by 2pm to see a presentation to Peterkin at half-time in the reserve grade game.
The Bulldogs had the bye last weekend.
