A community consultation will be held on Thursday, September 4 to discuss the planned $200,000 indoor skate park.
Revolution Action Sports Concepts has been given the contract to design the 800-square-metre undercover facility and company owner Shane Serena said finding out what the community and Cessnock skaters wanted was an important part of coming up with the final design.
The public meeting will be held at PCYC Cessnock, 1b Short Street (car park entry via Mills Crescent, off Buckland Avenue) from 6pm next Thursday.
