The home display centre is expected to be open for business by mid-2015.

In what will be the Hunter’s first new town in more than 50 years, Huntlee is being developed near Branxton by Perth’s LWP Property Group and on completion will have a total of 7500 houses across four neighbourhood villages. 

LWP managing director Danny Murphy said that display centre had attracted a wide mix of builders, including those who specialise in project homes as well as custom designs. 

“The home display centre will boast a level of diversity not present anywhere else in the Hunter in terms of variety of builders and also the diversity of designs and lot sizes,” he said.

 Eight building representatives from various companies involved recently met at the construction site located off Wine Country Drive.  

Jim Shaw from GJ Gardner Homes Hunter Valley said that the development reflected the massive growth that is taking place in the area. 

 “This is just a great thing for the local community,” he said.

“It is going to create a lot of jobs and the flow on affect will just be huge.

“The growth that this area is receiving is one of the main reasons we set up a display home in Branxton.

“It is just a breath of fresh air for the area and it is something that will create jobs for the next 10 years.” 

When completed, the display centre will be located on the doorstep of the Huntlee town centre park and will be second largest display village in the Hunter region.
