A man is trapped on a ledge in the Blue Mountains after he fell 10 metres down a cliff, police said.

The man fell near Evans Lookout in Blackheath about 4:30pm on Tuesday.
An Ambulance Service NSW helicopter dropped in a doctor to treat the man, who may have sustained leg fractures.
Police rescue teams were also attending.
It was unclear whether the man could be winched out or if he would need to be carried.
