Gains across the board for Nova have propelled it into equal first place overall, tied with mix94.5. It's the first time in the station's history that Nova has achieved such a result.

Nova afternoons host Joel Gelding was one of the survey's big winners. His show gained more than a two per cent share, but still sits in second place behind mix94.5's new recruit Simone Heng.

In the drive timeslot, Nova's back-to-back nationally syndicated programs - Kate, Tim and Marty followed by Fitzy and Wippa – kept comfortable leads, ahead of 94.5's Lisa Shaw and Tim Lordan.

Drive co-host and former Home and Away star Kate Ritchie announced the birth of her first child Mae last month.

6PR's Chris Ilsley suffered the biggest loss of the survey period – more than three percentage points – and slipped into fifth place in evenings. ABC's national Nightlife program, hosted by Tony Delroy, has proved a favourite with Perth's night owls in every survey this year.

In recent weeks, 96fm announced it had signed veteran announcer Fred Botica as its "fill-in guy", while 6PR farewelled news director Rod Tiley.
