Both clubs saw potential in this project, that will allow for an automatic irrigation system installed and top dressing carried out ensuring a much-improved playing surface.
School teacher and project coordinator for these works, Harris Withers said the funding would ensure the school has a sporting oval that would rival others in the area.
The cheque for $5000 was presented to the school by Anne Sander and Barry Haggarty of Weston Workers Club and Ron Hourigan from Kurri Bowling Club.
The ground improvement works were scheduled to be undertaken during the September school holidays.
