“This is going to be a weekend not to be missed for the visitors and the local community, everyone is welcome,” festival coordinator Carol Doherty said.
The festival will get underway at 4.30pm on the Saturday, with lots of entertainment from talented local artists including Lexi Ross and Jed Kinch from Gasoline Halos, Shaye Apperley, Nathan Chapple, Holy Spirit and Kurri Preschool, Jazmin Earl and Kirsty Akers.
Then on dark, Disney phenomenon ‘Frozen’ will be screened in the park. Children are encouraged to dress as their favourite character for the occasion.
Food and drinks will be for sale – all you need to bring both days with you are seats and blankets to sit on.
Then on the Sunday, the fun-filled program starts at 9am with entertainment from the local schools.
Hunter Water’s ‘Bubble & Squirt’ show promises to be a big hit with the kids, and there will also be dance, gymnastics and Tae Kwon Do demonstrations.
Lexi Ross and Jed Kinch will be back to keep everyone entertained, and after lunch Newcastle band Coconut Trio will be performing until close at 4pm.
