Paxton Public School will host a country fair this Friday in celebration of the school’s 90th birthday.

Some good old-fashioned fun for the whole family, there will plenty of activities and entertainment on the day including rides, face painting, pie eating competitions, a gumboot toss, a rolling pin throw and country line dancing.
There will also be plenty of food and stall holders as well as a barbecue lunch, displays and demonstrations.
An exciting part of the program will also be the judging of a scarecrow-making contest.
Students and families of Paxton Public School have been busy creating the scarecrows, which will be on display.
The competition is open to all residents of the Cessnock area and is free to enter, with scarecrows needed at the school on Friday by 10.30am.
A mystery judge will also be attending and awarding some great prizes to the winners.
The fair will run from 1pm to 6pm Friday and everyone is encouraged to come along and help celebrate the school’s birthday.
