Cycling enthusiasts are gearing up for the annual Crowne 2 Crowne Cycle Classic, a 59-kilometre charity ride from Crowne Plaza Newcastle to Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley this Sunday.

The event is in its sixth year running, raising important funds for the outstanding work of the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service.
This annual event is an initiative the hotels’ owner, Dr. Jerry Schwartz of Schwartz Family Co. Since its inception in 2009, the Crowne 2 Crowne has raised over $21,000 for the charity.
Those taking part will enjoy a light, pre-ride breakfast at Crowne Plaza Newcastle, before setting off in groups en route to Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley.
