According to Geoscience Australia, the 2.6 magnitude quake struck Quorrobolong, about 13 kilometres south of Cessnock, at 11.33am last Tuesday (November 4).
A Geoscience Australia spokesperson said they received a few reports of minor shaking for a short period of time.
It follows two earthquakes last month, three in September and one in August.
Geoscience Australia monitors seismic data from more than 60 stations on the Australian National Seismograph Network, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
