Held from November 3-5 in Sydney, the Mount View team of five travelled down to the competition along with a support crew and hit the ground running. With the competition in full swing, the team was the first to their ‘Evo 3.0’ car, that achieved brilliant times, with the boys were very pleased with their results.
The team was then required to attend an engineering talk with the judges, to talk about the specifications and design of their car.
They were then judged on their pit display with the judges astounded by the effort and the quality of their presentation.
The final event for day one was the reaction time racing in which Revolution Racing went head to head with another team to see which car could score the best time.
Team member Daniel Lambkin said that the race reactions were at “the blink of an eye” and the finishes was “nail biting”.
On the final day of competition only two challenges remained including a verbal presentation and the knockout racing round.
“The team presented very professionally and the judges were impressed with the level of content and information,” Daniel said.
In the knockout round, Revolution Racing sent their best reaction time racers up against the other teams in their division to see who could win undefeated.
The team came second in this category and Daniel said the boys were very proud of their efforts. Revolution Racing are now preparing for the national championships that will take place in early March in conjunction with the Melbourne F1 Grand Prix.
The team would like to thank all of their sponsors and supporters – anyone interested in coming on board as a sponsor can contact the team at revolution.racing2014@gmail.com.
