Police have arrested and charged a man and woman with a number firearm and drug offences at Bellbird.

Just before 2.30pm on Thursday (November 27), police attended a house in Prince Street after receiving information drugs and firearms may be present at the home.
Police searched the house and allegedly located a shortened and modified point-22 calibre rifle, a ‘Stoeger” rifle, an amount of cash, ammunition, pepper spray and drugs.
The pair were arrested and taken to Cessnock Police Station, where they were charged.
The man was charged with nine firearms offences as well as drug possession and having stolen goods.
The woman was also charged with drug possession and having stolen property.
They are both due to appear in Cessnock Local Court on December 10, 2014.
