The award honours Sir Jack Brabham, motoDNA Foundation Ambassador and is presented to the most improved junior athlete from the junior road race development program, which is held monthly at Sydney Motorsport Park.
Hayden, 15, only began road racing in June 2014 after discovering his love of bikes on the dirt bike track.
He stood out immediately as he was accredited for road racing after only one day of coaching.
Hayden has only competed in two road race events, in which he placed third in the Pirelli Race series at Phillip Island, and second in the Hughie Hoare Memorial Endurance Race at Broadford Victoria respectively.
His greatest highlight in the sport was meeting Marc Marquez and Valentino Rossi when he was an ambassador for motoDNA at the MotoGP in Phillip Island.
Hayden was then selected to trial for the Asia Junior Talent Cup at Sepang Raceway, Malaysia in October 2014, as well as selected to ride in the 2015 Asia Road Race Championships as the Australian member of an Australian/Malaysian motoDNA team.
While trialling at the Asia Junior Talent Cup over Christmas, Hayden also tried his hand at go-karting and won a competition against international go-kart racers.
His grandmother Connie said Hayden “likes anything with a motor”.
Due to his age, Hayden has had to receive a special exemption to compete with the seniors in the NSW Road Race Championships at Eastern Creek on January 30 and 31.
Hayden would like to thank Carl and Matt Walters of Kawasaki Connection for preparing his Kawasaki Ninja 300cc for the upcoming Australian FX 2015 Ninja 300 Race Series.
He would also like to thank Richard Bailey of United Auctions Australia, Janett Bazouni of My Home Company and Nigel Pitsch for their ongoing support.
Hayden, who will start Year 10 at Mount View High School next week, will now embark on a full season of road racing in 2015, with the dream of one day becoming world champion.
