The Cessnock Pensioners and Senior Citizens Association choir is a group of happy troopers who love to sing and have fun.
The choir needs new members – all are welcome, both men and ladies – no singing experience necessary, just that you enjoy singing.
“Our main aim is to entertain the residents of nursing homes in the Cessnock and Kurri Kurri areas,” choir mistress Yvonne Mills said.
“To do this we practice lots and give concerts for five different nursing homes in those areas at least three times each year: around Mothers’ Day, Fathers’ Day and Christmas.”
They meet on Tuesday mornings at 10am at Cessnock Performing Arts Centre (corner Vincent Street and Aberdare Road, Cessnock).
