More than 120 attendees enjoyed a two-course lunch, a raffle with a television given away as the major prize, and entertainment by Christina George and Lynette Guest.
Pearson’s Meats donated a large amount of the food for the lunch.
Kurri Retired Mineworkers president David Clark said that the association chose to donate to Jodie’s Place because of the involvement they have had in the past with the charity, including the involvement of some members as volunteers for the refuge.
