Ella-Rose Hokin produced the fastest times and measurements in eight out of eight events – the under-6 50m, 70m, 100m, 200m, 300m, discus, shot put and long jump.
Ella-Rose’s mum Candise said after seeing the times Ella-Rose was recording she had a look on the website to discover that she was breaking records.
However both mum and daughter were surprised to find out on presentation night that Ella-Rose was the highest female record-breaker of the season.
“I was not expecting these achievements, it’s just a fun little thing to do,” Candise said.
Candise said Ella-Rose has made big improvements since she started training with Jacarna Bain-Fenton and Alan Provenzano in the Christmas holidays, particularly in her technique in both track and field events.
Candise said Ella-Rose also receives some good competition from fellow talented young athletes in her age group.
Ella-Rose has her sights set on competing at the Zone Little Athletics competition next year, and to just keep running and enjoying it.
Candise said she is very proud of Ella-Rose and the achievements she has made.
