Tuesday – There was a healthy 65 member and visitor attendance at today’s medley stableford competition. Place-getters were: A-grade, Dave Lindsay 34 points, Carey Johnson 33 c/b, Stephen Rowe 33; B-grade, Michael Sternbeck 37, Barry S. Smith 36, Allan March 35; C-grade, Rick Geissler 41, Peter Dryden 38, Ken Dorn 36. NTPs: sixth, Murdock Holloway; eighth, James Cannon; 14th, Vincent Reddon; 17th, Murdock Holloway again. A total of 23 balls were distributed to score 30.

Wednesday Ladies – The ladies contested a stableford event today. There were 18 members and visitors present. The winner was Diane Roberts, second week in a row, with 36 points, second was Jenny Macklinshaw with 34. NTPs went to Ronda Cousins at the 14th and Adele Johns the 17th. A total of six balls were distributed down to score 30 on c/b. The Wednesday singles KO final was played today. Winner was Anne Parkinson, runner-up Margaret Austin.
Wednesday Veterans/Seniors – Today 34 senior members and visitors competed in a stableford event. This was won by Ray Hodson with 37 points, second was John Filipek who had 35. They were followed by Neville Abbott 34 and Dennis Watson 33. A total of 20 balls were distributed.
Friday – Today’s field of 72 members and visitors contested today’s individual and 2BBB stableford event. Place-getters were: A-grade Ken Wells 35, Hayden Gulliver 32, Patricia Fielding 32; B-grade, Sue O’Brien 37, Ben Walton 36, Andy Woods 35; C-grade, Brad Jones 41, Dennis Lindsay 38, Mark Green 35. NTPs: sixth, Stephen Hazelwood; eighth, Andy Woods; 14th, Peter Baille; 17th, Clayton Babic. Twenty-six balls were distributed to a score of 29. The 2BBB was won by Sue O’Brien and Meryl Swanson with 44 points. Ten balls were distributed to score 41.
Saturday Ladies – Today 13 lady members and visitors braved the showery weather for a stableford event. Winners were Teresa Peachey with 34 points and Beatrice Borham 33. NTPs went to Beatrice Borham at the sixth, Patricia Fielding at the eighth and Sue O’Brien the 17th. Longest drive was won by Sue O’Brien. A total of five balls were distributed to score 29. The Saturday singles KO final was played today. Winner was Sue O’Brien, runner-up Maxine Cannon.
Saturday Men – Today’s event, a stableford outing, attracted a field of 182 members and visitors. Place-getters were: A-grade Anthony Lucas 37 c/b, Adam Blakemore 37, Troy Blakemore 35; B-grade, Wayne Currie 38, Mark Parezanovic 37, Stephen Boyd 36; C-grade, Michael Talbot, Alan Irvine and Alan Powell (all 36). NTPs: sixth, Carey Johnson, Craig Jones and Joshua Newman; eighth, Brian Gulliver; 14th, Jeffrey Wyper and Cory Monk; 17th, Andrew Wyper. The jackpot was won by Joshua Newman for his efforts at the sixth. Longest drives went to Nathan Morris, Darren Cannon and Kevin Fielding. There were 66 balls distributed to score 29 c/b.
Sunday – Today KGC hosted three social golf clubs with approximately 75 players involved. Also hosted was a round of the Masters Pennants with 30 players participating. The Sunday medley stableford event attracted 24 golfers today. There were three place getters but no NTPs awarded. Winners were Colleen Henry with 32 points, James Cannon also 32 and Brodie Wells 31. Nine balls were distributed to a score of 26.
Pennants – On Monday, May 11 the Division 2 Ladies played Muree at Muree and won 6.5 to 0.5. This win was more than enough to have them declared winners for 2015. Division 3 played Nelson Bay at Charlestown and were beaten 2 to 3. They have two rounds to go, May 25 and June 1.
Monday, June 8 – The Fay and Bill Bain 2BBB Stableford Cup will be held on this day.
