Pennants are now finished and I am proud to report our Grade 1 team won the flag, congratulations. Grade 4 were very competitive and hope they can improve on that next year. EAST CESSNOCK WOMEN
Winners from last week’s social bowls were V. Harris and S. Sneesby, P. Matthews and M. Loughrey. Club Triples championship continued last week and the winners were teams skipped by Tanya Jory and Nora Nicholls. They will contest the final next week. Names to be submitted for social bowls by 9.15am to begin play by 10am on Wednesday. Congratulations to Marion Crump and Cheryl Field on reaching the last 16 in the Hunter River District Singles played last week. We have two teams competing at the NSW State Carnival in Port Macquarie this week.

Results: Major Singles quarter-finals, J. Lill def P. King, J. Stewart def M. Lill. Semi-finals, J. Lill def K. Bendeich, B. Jobson def J. Stewart. Final, the final was played between John and Brodie and some great bowls were played. Brodie defeated John in a great game. Congratulations to both players. Ladies Pairs Final, Tanya and Lauren Gardner defeated Wilma Anderson and Lynette Batterham in another great game. Program: Saturday, Grade 4 Zone Pennant play-off at Tuncurry. Bus leaves the club at 7am sharp for Tuncurry. Ladies bowls fees of $40 are due by May 31. Full payment for Gloucester trip due by June 7.
