Tuesday – There were 61 members and visitors attracted by today’s medley stableford competition. Place-getters were: A-grade, Malcolm Halliday 37 points, Chris De Krey 36, Chris Ford 35; B-grade, George Caplick 44, Glenn Miller 38, Trevor Jones 34; C-grade, Peter Dryden 36, Mark Thomas 35, Jason Newby 34. NTPs: sixth, Pat Munton; eighth, James Beveridge; 14th, Colin Ford; 17th, Chris Ford. A total of 22 balls were distributed to score 30.

Wednesday Ladies – The ladies contested a stableford event today. There were 13 members and visitors present. The winner was Diane Roberts, third week in a row, with 33 points via countback; second was Lyn Hill with 33, followed by Sue O’Brien, also with a 33. NTPs at the eighth and 14th holes were both won by Patricia Fielding. A total of five balls were distributed down to score 31 c/b.
Wednesday Veterans/Seniors – Today 31 senior members and visitors competed in a stableford event. This was won by Brian Austin on countback with 36 points, second was Phillip Callen also 36. They were followed by Stephen Hazelwood (34) and Dave Lindsay (33). A total of 18 balls were distributed.
Friday – Today’s field of 44 members and visitors contested an individual and 2BBB stableford event. Place-getters were: A-grade, Andrew Hamilton 33, Anthony Beavis 31; B-grade, Robert Pink 30, Colin Pink 28; C-grade, Alan Powell 34, James Beveridge 33. NTPs: sixth, Sue O’Brien; eighth, Tony McAndrew; 14th and 17th, Andrew Hamilton. Sixteen balls were distributed to a score of 20. The 2BBB was won by Alan Powell and Peter Baille with 42 points. Eight balls were distributed to score 39.
Saturday Ladies – Today 13 lady members and visitors vied for a winning score in a stableford event. Place-getters were Jane Rooker with 35 points and Meryl Swanson with 32. NTPs went to Jane Rooker at the sixth, Leanne Rigby at the eighth and Jane Rooker again at the 17th. Longest drive was won by Meryl Swanson. A total of five balls were distributed to score 27.
Saturday Men – Today’s Stableford outing attracted a field of 160 members and visitors. Place-getters were: A-grade, Dean Kilgour 36, Brodie Wells 35 and Mark MacKenzie 34; B-grade, Neil Fellows 39, Ben Huckstadt 38 and Marl Watson 36; C-grade, Warren Crawford 38, Wayne Weiss 35 and John Dengate 33. NTPs: sixth, Patrick Rigby; eighth, Anthony Beavis, Neil Fellows and Brian Austin; 14th, Paul Redding; 17th, Brodie Wells, Ross Nelson and Joshua Newman. The jackpot was won by Joshua Newman with his eagle (hole-in-one) at the 17th. High five Josh. Longest drives went to Patrick Wand, Neil Fellows and Glen Davies. There were 58 balls distributed to score 29 c/b.
Sunday – Today KGC hosted the annual Kurri Rugby League golf day with over 100 players involved. The Sunday medley stableford event was therefore cancelled. The HRDGA Mixed Four-Person Ambrose Championship was held today at Aberdeen Golf Club. Kurri Golf Club was represented by five teams, a total of 20 players. The scratch event was won by Kurri team Jeff Wyper, Sue O’Brien, Chad and Leah Cresswell.
Monday, June 8 – The Faye and Bill Blain 2BBB Mixed Stableford Cup will be held on this day. Please go to your member’s login on the KGC website and book your tee time or phone the pro shop on 4937 1091 and arrange a time.
Pennants - Ladies, the next round for our Division 3 ladies was on May 25.
Pennants Men – On Sunday, May 17, Kurri Masters pennants team played their round one against Maitland at Kurri and were unfortunately beaten 4.25 to 3.25. Round two was played this Sunday at Belmont against Belmont. Despite their best efforts they were beaten by a better side on the day by 6 to 1.5.
