The event went for four hours, in which time the entire school was jazzed up and made fresh and tidy again.
The gardens were transformed from a rugged jungle into a beautiful entrance into the school.
The school vegetable garden was prepared for the winter planting, class gardens were cleared and replanted and the bush tucker garden was revitalised.
The entrance to the school was repainted and brought back to life and the lunch seat area and canteen hall also received a fresh coat of paint.
School principal Ian Lamph said the work completed was thanks to a large number of volunteers, who should be pleased with what they have completed.
“Through the tremendous response from the school community we were able to make substantial changes to the schools appearance in a short period of time,” he said.
“This is something that the whole Abermain community should be extremely proud of as we build respect and pride for our school.
“Overall it was a fantastic day with a great group of people who were willing to assist in bringing our school environment back to life.”
The school would like to thank all of those who attended as well as Bunnings Warehouse who supplied the materials used on the day.
