Cessnock dominated the game throughout and finished with a clean sheet. Molly Abbot found the back of the net an outstanding five times; Kirsty O’Neill slotted away two in a players’ player performance along the right wing; while Gabriella Horn, Emma Stevenson, Chelsea Rockley and Fiona Scanlon finished off the tally.
The Hornets women will take on fourth-placed Cardiff in a washout game at home on Sunday in what should be an exciting match. Kick-off is at 9am.
