Cessnock completely outclassed Easts in all aspects of the game, going to half-time with a 20-0 lead.
Cessnock stuck to their game plan and their discipline was 100 per cent better than the week before.
They score three more tries in the second half to run out 39-5 winners, and leapfrog Easts into second place.
Cessnock’s try scorers were Soa Polutute, Lewis Carberry, James Sheridan, Ben Pringle, Jack Gibbons and Cody Herring; with Dallas Mountford kicking three conversions and one penalty goal.
The Hotel Cessnock players’ player award went to Adam Flynn and the Barry’s Butchers best and fairest points went to Adam Flynn (three), Pat Burns (two) and Jack Gibbons (one).

Cessnock has a bye this weekend and will take on Pokolbin at Drain Oval the following Saturday (July 11) at 3pm. It will be ladies day, with discounted refreshments and nibblies for the women to thank them for the work they do behind the scenes.
