A-grade played Mayfield United at Mayfield on Sunday.
C-grade players Samara Nichols, Kayla Miller and goal keeper Bethany Dwyer backed up and played the full game in A-grade, allowing the side 11 players to start the game.
Mayfield started well and were 3-0 up after 15 minutes.
Kurri settled down and started to pass well and talked more and missed a goal by inches.
Sarah Burrough took a corner and put the ball into the back of the net, and the score was 3-1 at half-time.
The second half was end-to-end stuff with both teams having chances.
Mayfield scored again to take the tally to 4-1.
Kurri attacked and Burrough put through a ball for Sarah Newton to run onto to score, making the final result 4-2.
Burrough received the Kookaburra Brasserie and Grill Award for her big game in the midfield, while the Video Ezy Award went to captain Toni Payne, who controlled the back line.
C-grade took on Warners Bay and played a very dominant first half, unlucky not to score a few times.
After a scoreless first half, Kurri played much the same way in the second half; with a few calls not going their way, they never gave up.
Kurri was unlucky on the day, with Warners Bay scoring with five minutes to go to seal the 1-0 win.
The Kookaburra Brasserie and Grill Award went to Samara Nichols and the Video Ezy Award to Kayla Nichols.
A-grade will play Merewether at Merewether at 1.15pm on Sunday, while C-grade will play Maitland at home at 10am on Sunday.
