A dual Commonwealth Games medallist in Glasgow last year, Repacholi (along with his lucky rainbow socks) became an overnight sensation in Australia, following his gold and bronze wins in the pistol discipline.
The three-time Olympian took time off after the London games in 2012 to focus on family.
Repacholi and wife Alex welcomed their second daughter, Asha, on Wednesday – a baby sister for Zoe, 2.
He made a remarkable comeback at the Commonwealth Games, as part of his preparation towards Rio 2016.
Towering above most of his competitors at 202 centimetres, the coal truck driver is happy to be ramping up his training.
“Glasgow was a great come back to the sport I love. I had not been to a World Cup since May 2012, and this year has been about settling back into the international scene,” Repacholi said.
“Although I didn’t do well at my first World Cup this year, it has prepared me for where I need to be, if I want to gain selection to Rio. I’m fired up and ready to go.”
Repacholi would like to thank Shooting Australia, Anytime Fitness Cessnock, Profit Australia, Choice Chiropractic Cessnock, the CFMEU and Rio Tinto Mount Thorley Warkworth for their support.
The ISSF World Cup in Azerbaijan runs from August 6 to 16.
