Light rail services were restored just ahead of the Friday's commuter traffic peak, following a disruption caused by a tree that came down on the line in the afternoon.

At 4.30pm, a spokeswoman from the Transport Management Centre said a cherry-picker was trying to remove the tree. By 5pm, the line was clear.
Light rail services were temporarily unable to operate between Central and the stop at the old convention centre. Bus services ran between the Convention stop and Dulwich Hill.
