Marketing consultant Cassandra Battle was named Rising Star of the Year (non-daily publication); manager Rebecca Gillon and admin support person Sally Tindall received high distinctions, as did our Kurri Nostalgia Festival feature in the Best Feature ACM Non-Daily category.
It was the fourth year in a row that The Advertiser has been recognised at the awards, which encompass Fairfax Media’s regional, rural and agricultural publications.
The awards were presented at the ACM Sales Conference in Canberra on Friday.
Ms. Battle represented The Advertiser at the conference and said she was shocked to receive the Rising Star award (for sales staff with less than two years’ experience).
“I had the biggest smile on my face and wasn’t even sure which way to get to the stage,” she said.
“I feel like this is my biggest accomplishment to this date.
“I am so happy for just reaching my one-year anniversary at The Advertiser and being recognised by Fairfax Media and ACM.
“I’m definitely looking forward to what comes next in my career.”
Ms. Gillon said the sales awards are a great opportunity to showcase the talents of staff at a national level.
“It is a great honour and achievement to be recognised again,” she said.
“I am very proud of the amazing staff that we have at The Advertiser.”
