This year’s fair will have even more stalls and events to excite visitors big and small.
“We have our regular and most popular items such as arts, crafts and wine stalls and antique farm machinery that always draw a crowd,” fair organiser Michael Noyce said.
“This year we are thrilled to also include a host of new events such as organic farming talks, workshops, horse and carriage rides around the village, even a pop-up pampering stall to take care of all your beauty needs.”
The kids are not left out with pony rides and the hugely popular lantern parade.
“The lantern parade is one of the premier events in the fair program,” Mr. Noyce said.
“It started as part of the annual Sculpture in the Vineyards and has since become a high point on the community calendar.”
Visitors to the fair are encouraged to join in the fun and visit the lantern-making stall on Saturday.
For $5 you can make your own lantern and take part in the parade along with the local school children and community groups.
The lantern parade will start at 5.30pm, weaving its way through town and finishing up at the Wollombi Museum.
The winners of the annual Scarecrow Competition will be announced prior to the lantern parade.
The Wollombi Country Fair will run from 10am to 4pm this Saturday and Sunday. Entry is free.
