Staff sold merchandise, cupcakes and fresh daffodils, and held a raffle and guessing competition.
Customers bought paper daffodils and wrote messages on them to be displayed on the Wall of Hope in the store.
“Our wall of hope this year was bigger and better with beautiful messages of hope written on the daffodils by customers and the school children,” store manager Kylie Gregory said.
“The store would like to thank everyone who donated towards the day.”
The winner of the meat raffle was B. Hargraves and the winner of the guessing competition was M. Armstrong.
Coles Supermarkets have partnered with the Cancer Council for 20 years and in that time have helped raise almost $20 million, which has provided funding for Cancer Council’s Helpline and other local support services such as the Financial Assistance Program in NSW.
