Margaret Condran, 87, of Cessnock has welcomed two great-great-grandchildren in as many months, a rare feat for most people.
Thanks to Margaret’s first job at Elite Framing Works in Vincent Street at aged 12, she has managed to keep pictures of her family that go back eight generations.
The first was Elizabeth Lobbley/Heslop, who had daughter Margaret Heslop/Bamback, then Elizabeth Bamback/Locock and then Margaret herself.
Margaret had a daughter Sandra Fogg, whose children Michael and Tina Fogg are both now grandparents.
Michael’s daughter Kelsey Fogg gave birth to Alaysha Dargin on November 17, 2015 at 11.45pm, with the new bub weighing 7lb 6oz.
Tina’s daughter Brianna Sams then gave birth to Hunter McCarthy just in time for Christmas on December 20, 2015 at 4.41pm, weighing 8lb 15oz.
The family is smitten with the new arrivals, with great-great-grandma Margaret holding Christmas lunch for the whole family, as she does each year.
Margaret is enjoying being a fifth generation and is hoping for many more years to come.
