On Saturday night a statue of the movie character Obi-Wan Kenobi was stolen from the front yard of a Vincent Street residence.

The statue is made of concrete and is of the upper torso area of the legendary Jedi master. Mr Kenobi is also wearing a hood.

WOMAN WITH LICENCE DISQUALIFIED TO 2033 FOUND DRIVING
Last Monday afternoon police stopped a vehicle in Mount View Road, Cessnock after a check revealed the vehicle was unregistered.
The 25-year-old female driver was spoken to and it is alleged she provided a false name.
Police carried out further checks and it was found the driver was in fact disqualified until 2033.
Police also became suspicious and searched the vehicle, allegedly finding a small quantity of cannabis. The woman will be attending Cessnock Court.
DRINK DRIVING AT QUORROBOLONG
Police often patrol the outlying areas around Cessnock at all hours of the day and night.
On Sunday evening police were on Old Mill Lane, Quorrobolong when a vehicle drove towards them erratically, allegedly forcing the police vehicle to take evasive action to avoid a collision.
Police stopped the vehicle and the 54-year-old male driver was found to be driving with twice the legal limit of alcohol in his blood.
The man subsequently had his licence suspended and will be attending Cessnock Court.
Police do patrol the back streets, keep drink driving and you will be caught.
POSTIE BIKE STOLEN
Last Tuesday a worker at a supermarket parked his Honda CT110 postie bike outside his place of employment and unfortunately while he worked the motorbike was stolen.
On Saturday, police working on information supplied by the public located the bike at an Allandale Road, Cessnock address.
A 15-year-old boy has now been charged with the theft of the bike and will be attending Cessnock Court.
The recovery of the motorbike is just another example of the work that can be done with information from the public. Remember, if you see something, say something.
ROCKS THROWN FROM LOXFORD OVERPASS ON HUNTER EXPRESSWAY
Early on Saturday morning offenders have thrown rocks from the Hart Road overpass on the Hunter Expressway at Loxford.
Minor damage was caused to a passing vehicle. Police have not been able to locate the offender but enquires are continuing.
This offence is extremely dangerous and has occurred a number of times. In the past this activity has caused fatal motor collisions.
