The Raworth personal trainer has climbed Mount Kilimanjaro and cycled the Great Ocean Road, and later this month will set off for the Great Wall of China – all in aid of charity.

She started fundraising for the National Breast Cancer Foundation in December 2013, while working towards the Kilimanjaro trek with Inspired Adventures in November 2014.

With events nearly every month that year – including a masquerade ball – she raised $21,124 before she left for Africa.

“The trek itself was an amazing adventure and I made many great friends,” Mrs Rossi said.

“After returning home, I wanted to do more and together with my husband we decided to try a family adventure this time.”

Mrs Rossi and her husband David cycled the Great Ocean Road in November 2015, raising $6672 for the Cure Cancer Australia Foundation.

Mr Rossi towed the couple’s three-year-old son Emerson along in a trailer for the 600-kilometre, seven-day journey.

“We cycled between 55-100km per day, stayed in cabin accommodation, and battled through in all weather conditions. In the end it was a great family adventure!” Mrs Rossi said.

Mrs Rossi will leave for her next journey on May 18. The 100-kilometre Great Wall trek is also a group tour with Inspired Adventures, once again raising money for the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

This time around she has raised $3500, bringing her total funds raised for charity over the past two-and-a-half years to over $31,000.

“Since I started fundraising for NBCF, I heard from so many people whose lives have been affected by breast cancer in some way.

“I want to honour those people, those sufferers, those carers, those loved ones, and those likely to be affected in the future, by helping NBCF achieve their zero death goal by 2030.”

Mrs Rossi, who grew up in Cessnock and works at Cessnock PCYC, said she has had huge support from the local community, and her family and friends to achieve this goal.

“I could not have done it without everyone who donated, attended events, and cheered me on!” she said.
