Over that time, Pokolbin’s median house sale prices increased 12.4 per cent to $1.30 million, and unit prices went up 21.3 per cent $207,500.
Aberdare has grown 9.6 percent with median prices at $271,000 and Abermain’s median price is up 7.3 per cent to $280,000 (across 41 individual sales).
The most traded suburb for houses in the 12-month period was Cessnock with 271 homes sold, and it also had the most unit sales (23).
Houses in Cessnock have remained relatively stable with falls of -1.4 per cent and a median price of $279,000.
The highest median housing rents in our area are $310 per week in Pelaw Main, and for units $280 per week in Kurri Kurri. Housing rental yields in Weston are currently 6.4 percent.
