The missing camper has been found safe and well in the Hunter.
Police established a crime scene on Saturday night when the 43-year-old man was reported missing and began searching the area near Timor Caves camp ground near Murrurundi without success.
About 12pm on Sunday police received information from a friend of the missing man stating that he had spoken to him at an address in Rutherford the previous evening, and that he was safe and well.
Later that night police found the missing man at a Telarah address. He did not appear to have any injuries.

POLICE have suspended a search for a man who went missing on a Hunter camping trip.
A NSW Police spokesperson said police had received “numerous” reports of unconfirmed sightings of the man and decided to suspend the search at 1pm on Sunday to follow these lines of enquiry.
Police had been leading a co-ordinated search, which began at 7am and included police dogs, the State Emergency Service, PolAir and the Murrurundi Volunteer Rescue Association.
The last confirmed sighting of the man, 43, was at 4am Saturday, when he walked away from the Timor Caves camp ground near Murrurundi .
His friends conducted a search without success and reached out to police about 7pm.
The man is described as Caucasian, about 180cm tall and weighing roughly 70kg.
He is blonde with blue eyes and was wearing jeans and a jumper when he disappeared.
