Pokolbin Pride will be a five-day celebration of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTI) people.
The event is being organised by Nanna Kerr’s Kitchen founders and partners Jimmy Wright and Matty Kerr.
So far the pair have announced that the festival will open on Thursday, October 20 and a closing barbecue will be held on Monday, October 24 with further details to be decided.
Community interest has grown rapidly since the Pokolbin Pride Facebook page was created.
The page received more than 3000 likes in two weeks.
Mr Kerr and Mr Wright are inviting people to complete a survey about what they would like to see at the festival.
Public meetings have also been scheduled for local businesses, vineyards, restaurants, accommodation providers, charities and community groups, performers and volunteers.
