Cessnock Leagues Club CEO Paul Cousins said he was looking forward to a day of great horse racing and the Jungle Juice Cup.
“Cessnock Leagues Club is proud to be associated with Wine Country Race Club and the Jungle Juice Cup, which is a legendary day in the Hunter Valley,” Mr Cousins said.
Champion local jockey Robert Thompson took out the feature event for the eleventh time in 2015, on board Youthful King.
It was a local affair, with Cessnock's Deleis Watson the owner of Youthful King and Jeremy Sylvester the trainer.
Newcastle Jockey Club CEO Matt Benson said he was excited about the racing and trackside activities planned for this year’s Jungle Juice Race Day, which will include Fashions on the Field and the Jungle Juice Marquee.
Not to be left out, there will be plenty of kids and teen entertainment with activities suitable for all ages.
Gates will open at 11am, general admission is $10 or $3 concession.
Cessnock Leagues Club will host a Calcutta on Monday, July 4 at 7pm.
