Cessnock Chamber of Commerce vice-president Clint Ekert said the chamber is committed to continue to promote excellence in customer service through the ongoing development and promotion of the Cessnock Customer Service Awards.
“Excellence in customer service is vital to continued business growth and development across the Cessnock area,” Mr Ekert said.
Categories include hospitality, retail, professional, trade, community services and business owner.
Winners and runners-up in each of these categories will be presented, along with a major award to the overall winner for exceptional customer service in the Cessnock area.
Chamber president Geoff Walker said the awards connect the business community with its customers.
“In a region like Cessnock with high tourism assets, excellent customer service is essential,” Mr Walker said.
“This is the only award in the Hunter that rewards staff excellence and with over 500 nominations last year, our annual event is in a strong position to continue to grow.”
Anyone who makes a nomination will go into the draw to win 100 Cessnock Dollars (to be spent at participating businesses).
Look for a poster and a nomination form at your local business, or go online and nominate at www.cessnockcustomerserviceawards.com.au.
Nominations close Sunday, July 31.
The awards will be presented at a gala dinner at Cessnock Leagues Club on Friday, September 2.
Tickets will be on sale early July at www.cessnockleagues.com.au/book-tickets.
