Ms van Netten was recognised for a total of 20 years of Toastmasters membership (with multiple Toastmasters clubs), while Ms Craft has reached the milestone of 10 years of continuous membership (all with the Cessnock club).
When asked how she remains committed after so many years, Ms van Netten said: “Toastmasters keeps my communication skills sharp and it’s very rewarding to mentor newer members and see them grow in confidence. At every meeting I learn something new”.
The Toastmasters program is a fun but highly effective way to develop communication and leadership skills by practising in a supportive environment.
Cessnock City Toastmasters Club meets at Cessnock Leagues Club every Monday at 7pm (except public holidays).
