The Comets held a ladies day at their home game against Maitland on July 16, when they wore pink shirts, donated money and held a barbecue to raise funds.
The day raised $700 for the woman and her family, and to top it off, the Comets had a 2-1 win.
The Comets will don the pink playing strip again at their last home game of the year – Saturday, August 6, when they will take on Norths United at 2.30pm.
Shirts can be bought for $50 and half of that goes to the family.
